Santa stopped by to greet everyone.
The Westbury Public Safety Commission has won a 2014 Gold AAA Award for Community Traffic Safety. Chairwoman Gloria Monitto (2nd r) and Village Trustee William Wise (r) are pictured with the AAA and Nassau County representatives. The Commission was sited for its many traffic safety efforts including their safety column in Welcome to the Village of Westbury and bicycle safety programs. Vickie Laura and Nicholas Grigoraki round out the Commission membership.
President Theodore Roosevelt (re-enactor James W. Foote) visited Westbury's Robert Bacon Memorial Children's Library. He is telling a young library patron about his friend Robert who served as his Secretary of State. Mr. Bacon lived in Westbury in the early part of the 20th century.

Saturday was busy at the Senior Citizens' Bazaar. Handmade Craft table.

Summer evening at the movies. This summer the Village of Westbury Buisness Improvement District (B.I.D.) held movie night at the Piazza.
Speaking of movies - there were several film crews filming in the Village.

Memorial Day services were conducted at our Community Center on Post Avenue.

Westbury residents enjoyed fresh, hot  pancakes with their families and neighbors at the Scout Troop 233 breakfast.
Village of Westbury DPW crews worked at removing the piles of the leaves. Any guess of how many tons of leaves were  picked up?
Village roads  are getting repaved.
   
Memorial Day: Veterans, Village Officials and Village residents honored those who gave their lives for our freedom.
Veterans lead the parade past the Community Center on Rockland St.
   
Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, the Westbury High School Band, Little Leaguers and other Village organizations marched on Memorial Day.
Smiles abound, THE Easter Bunny and Recreation Department Supervisor Michael Jackson join the winners of the Golden Egg and Jelly Bean Contests.
